Care Farm Sessions
Wildernest Care Farm offers access to horticulture, small animal care, craft and tool use.
About our sessions
Sessions are carefully tailored to an individual’s needs and interests.
Sessions are structured with a choice of activity available within them, offering routine and flexibility at the same time. There are opportunities for sensory regulation through walks, trampoline, swings and sensory toys. Visual cues and timetables are available throughout sessions with access to feeling and choice boards.
We use Widgit Online to create our resources such as symbols and social stories.
Our sessions

Sessions for children are 2 hours long and we work towards children being dropped off and supported in sessions by Wildernest staff.

One off group sessions
We can plan and run one off sessions for groups.
Previous groups have come and made Christmas wreaths, cooked on a campfire, made willow dream catchers, met the animals and more!
Please get in touch if you have a group of people you think may be interested in visiting.
Wildernest holds a AQA Unit Award Scheme .
The Unit Award Scheme (UAS) is a unique way of recording and celebrating participants’ achievements and boosting confidence and motivation. The units cover everything from cleaning out chickens to wet felting landscapes – we can even write our own! They are suitable for a wide range of learners and have a fantastic ‘can do’ approach.
All staff at Wildernest Care Farm hold enhanced DBS checks and carry out relevant training, including safeguarding training. Wildernest Care Farm has public liability insurance in place as well as relevant risk assessments and policies. Copies of all our policies and procedures are available upon request.
If you or someone you know or care for is interested in attending Wildernest, please get in touch. People are welcome to come for a pre-arranged visit to have a chat and a look round. During this initial visit, we will assess the level of support someone requires, the price of sessions will depend on the level of support required.
